Libre Office is an alternative replacement for office applications from Microsoft Office that people usually use for typing, making reports and presentations. Libre Office is open source (free) software that can be used by anyone on Windows, Linux, Mac or Android operating systems. There are various types of applications for various needs, such as Libre Office Writer like MS Office, Libre Office Calc like MS Excel, and Libre Office Presentation like MS PowerPoint.
How to Install
First, you need to download the Libre Office file in https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice
Second, extract the downloaded file.
Third, open your terminal and run this command:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
Fourth or the last, check and run the app from the app list menu.
Notes
- This steps applicable in Ubuntu Distro based like Ubuntu, Linux Mint, KDE Neon, Ubuntu Budgie, etc
- Used for .deb file type only
- The installation run in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS but from my experience it can be used start from Ubuntu 18
